WGBH TV Schedules Widget

What is a Widget ?
You might already know what I am talking about if you have used an Apple Operating System; But if you haven't here's a brief description. Apple in its latest OS codenamed Tiger (10.4.x) introduced a new concept know as Dashboard. Apple describes it best‘The new Dashboard hosts nifty mini-applications called widgets that appear instantly and keep you up to date with timely information from the Internet. View stocks, check weather forecasts, track flights, convert currency and units of measure, even look up businesses in the phone book. Similar to Exposé, the Dashboard zooms across your Desktop at the click of a function key. Your favorite widgets appear with up-to-the-second information, then disappear just as easily, so you can get back to what you were doing.’
The Widget I created
Lets start with some pictures.

A pretty simple Widget that displays the TV schedules of the GBH channels.- You can preview schedules for different days by inputting the dates right under the WGBH Logo. The Default date is the day's date.
- You can view the schedules of different channels by selecting the channel from the drop down. The default channel 2 / 44.
- Pressing on the Links of the scheduled programs will direct you to the Information Page of the program. This Information page will open in a seperate window outside the dashboard.
- Pressing on the 'i' which is in the right bottom corner will flip the page and show you the Credits.
